Connect Lighter#

Link your Lighter account to Anboto with an API key. Lighter is a perp-DEX with an on-chain order book: a key is scoped to your account and to a key slot, so Anboto needs four values — the API key, the Secret key, your Account index, and the API key index of the slot the key occupies.

Prerequisites#

  • A Lighter account (the wallet you use at app.lighter.xyz).
  • Funds deposited on Lighter.

Create the API key on Lighter#

  1. Log in to your Lighter account.
  2. Generate a new trading API key.
  3. Record the API key and Secret key as soon as they are shown.
  4. Record the Account index (your Lighter account) and the API key index (the slot this key occupies). Both belong to the key you just created; Anboto rejects the connection if either does not match.

Permissions & IP allowlist#

  • The key is used for trading only — Anboto never needs the ability to withdraw funds.
  • Lighter authenticates by key signature; there is no exchange-side IP allowlist to configure for this venue.
  1. Log in to pro.anboto.xyz and open Settings (top right) → Linked Exchanges.
  2. On the Link Perp-DEX tab, select the Lighter tile.
  3. Enter the API key, Secret key, Account index, and API key index, then save.

Anboto validates the credentials as soon as you save and shows an inline error if any value is invalid — double-check the two index fields, as they must match the account and key slot the secret was generated for.

Sub-accounts

Use Add sub account on the Lighter tile to link keys for Lighter sub-accounts. Sub-account names must not be main or Main.
